 Camps:    

Summer Dance Camps with HYPE

Along with HYPE'S regular summer dance schedule, our SUMMER DANCE CAMPS are designed to provide the best dance programs from our highly trained, experienced staff! We provide knowledge and encouragement to all of our students, as well as a sense of accomplishment and inspiration to help continue improving their skills and have some SUMMER FUN! The dancers develop great friendships and long lasting memories!

Ages: Camps have limited space and are available for students ages 3-12 for beginning through advanced dancers. Tuition is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Attire: Dancers need to wear appropriate clothing for general activities. Dance shoes are not required, but recommended if you own them. We also offer "loaner" dance shoes available to use for the camp only, and will be made available the first day of camp. (We cannot guarantee exact shoe sizes.)

Final Performance: Each camp will finish with a final performance for family and friends to enjoy and help celebrate their success! This is a great way to show what the dancers have accomplished! Family and friends are invited to watch the last ½ hour of final day of camp!

June 22 - 24
Tues, Wed, Thurs. 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Ages 3-4, Ages 5-7

Description: Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine! Dancers are encouraged to dress in their favorite Disney Princess attire! Each day will include an hour of ballet, 1/2 hour of snack/craft/color time, 1/2 hour story time, an hour of choreography. Breaks included.
Cost: $100.00 per dancer.
Held at HYPE Dance Studio.

June 28 - July 1
Mon - Thurs. 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Ages 4-7, Ages 8-12

Description: learn the latest hip hop moves with great music kids love! Each day will include 2 hours of hip hop instruction (including stretch and warm-up, tricks and skills, rhythm and musicality, and choreography). 1 hour of freestyle and creative dance. Clean and appropriate music and movement for children. Breaks included.
Cost: $115.00 per dancer.
Held at HYPE Dance Studio.

July 12 - 15
Mon - Thurs. 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Ages. 6-8, Ages 9-12

Description: learn how to be a performer! Get the latest steps and grooves while attending your own Camp Rock! Jazz, Hip Hop, Rock...it's all here and ready for you! Learn to perform your best and have a great time doing it! Each day will include 1 hour of jazz, 1 hour of hip hop, and 1 hour of "Camp Rock Jams" where campers show us what they have! Choreography included. Breaks included. Disney's Camp Rock song list and more will be used.
Cost: $115.00 per dancer.
Held at HYPE Dance Studio.

Ballet Intensive

June 25-26
With honored Guest Master Teacher Judy Rice & Ballet Director Laurel Tennant.
Jr. Intensive – ages 6-10
Sr. Intensive – ages 11+

Judy Rice is a graduate of the National Ballet School of Canada and has performed extensively across the US and Canada including the Joffrey Ballet, The National Tap Dance Company of Canada and American Ballet Comedy. She has 20 years experience teaching for regional companies and festivals as well as Company Dance, DMA, DEA, CNADM, 3D Dance Network, The Joffrey Ballet School, The Joffrey Ballet, Broadway Dance Center and the Dance Teacher Magazine Summer Conference. Judy has been a judge for ADA and is on the faculty for Dance Masters Teacher Training School and CNADM training school. She is also a contributing writer to GOLDRUSH magazine. In May of 2000 she co-founded Behind Barres with pianist Paul Lewis and producer Rob Martens and to date they have produced 11 albums of ballet class music and have released three DVDs highlighting the do’s and don’ts of beginning pointe work and an intermediate ballet class to Volume I and an elementary ballet class to Volume II. Ms. Rice’s television credits include: "Fame," "All my Children," "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" and "The Great American Dance Challenge." Since 1990 she has been an Associate Professor of Performing Arts at the University of Michigan.

Master Classes and training…Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre!

Eddie Morales – Eddie Morales is a dancing sensation that has performed for millions of people all over the world as a back up dancer for the stars. Morales has been featured in many memorable blazing music videos and has performed at The Grammy's, The MTV Awards, The American Music Awards and many, many others. Now mega stars such as Janet Jackson, Diddy, Pink, Christina Aguilera and Super producer Timbaland keep Morales working and traveling all year long. He has grown from a dancer to a choreographer and staging supervisor and has his sights on more. Eddie has recently finished dancing with both Justin Timberlake’s “FutureSexLoveSounds” and Mariah Carey’s “Angels” World Tours.
Gregg Russell – An Emmy-nominated choreographer, dance master and director of 3D Dance Network, Gregg Russell inspires both teachers and students across the world with his eclectic mix of styles, including tap, hip-hop, jazz, and lyrical. The son of a dance teacher, he shares his thoughts on growing up in dance and the mentors who inspired him. Gregg also teaches for numerous dance companies across the country including Co. Dance Conventions.
Lindsay Mills – former jazz and contemporary instructor for HYPE Dance Studio.
Laurel Tennant - current Ballet Director for HYPE Dance Studio.
